Information you add
You may save home and room names, consumable names and categories, brands, model and part numbers, barcodes, notes, replacement dates and intervals, purchase-needed status, reminder preferences, and replacement history.
You may also choose up to two reference photos for an item: a product-label photo and an installed-location photo. Do not include people, sensitive documents, access codes, or other information you do not want stored with your household records.
Camera, photos, and on-device scanning
With your permission, PartPocket uses the camera to recognize barcodes and text on product labels. Scanning is performed using Apple’s on-device frameworks. PartPocket does not send scanned images or recognized label text to a Farr Out Apps server.
The app accesses only photos you deliberately select through Apple’s photo picker. Selected images are resized and stored with the corresponding item.
Storage and iCloud synchronization
PartPocket stores its database locally on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud and iCloud Drive is available, Apple CloudKit may synchronize your records and reference photos through a private database associated with your Apple Account.
Farr Out Apps does not operate the synchronization service and cannot browse or retrieve records in your private CloudKit database. Apple may process iCloud data as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Synchronization may temporarily be unavailable when you are offline, signed out of iCloud, have disabled iCloud Drive, or have reached an Apple storage limit. PartPocket remains usable locally during many of these conditions.
Notifications
If you enable a due-date reminder, PartPocket schedules a local notification on your device. Notification content includes the consumable name and due status. You can disable notifications for an item inside PartPocket or change the app’s notification permission in iOS Settings.
Advertising and consent
PartPocket uses Google Mobile Ads to display contextual, non-personalized advertising. PartPocket does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission and is not designed to use the advertising identifier to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Google and its partners may nevertheless process information needed to provide, limit, secure, and measure ads, such as your IP address, general device and app information, coarse location inferred from an IP address, diagnostics, consent signals, and ad impressions or interactions. The exact information processed depends on your region, device settings, consent choices, and Google’s practices.
PartPocket uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present privacy choices where required. When available, you can revisit those choices from PartPocket’s Settings screen.
For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
Information Farr Out Apps receives
Farr Out Apps does not receive your saved homes, rooms, part details, photos, replacement history, or notification schedule. Farr Out Apps does not currently use a developer-operated account, analytics, or product-lookup service in PartPocket.
Google and Apple may receive information as described above and under their own policies. If you contact support, Farr Out Apps receives the information you choose to include in the request.
Retention and deletion
Your records remain on your device and may remain in your private iCloud database until you delete them. Deleting an item or home inside PartPocket removes the associated app records and synchronizes that deletion through CloudKit when synchronization is available.
Deleting PartPocket removes its local app data but may not by itself delete data already stored in your private iCloud database. Reinstalling the app while signed in to the same Apple Account may restore synchronized records. Farr Out Apps cannot delete private CloudKit records on your behalf.
Advertising providers retain information according to their policies, legal obligations, and your consent choices.
Children’s privacy
PartPocket is not directed to children under 13, and Farr Out Apps does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The app is not intended for Apple’s Kids Category.
Security
PartPocket relies on Apple’s application sandbox and CloudKit protections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so avoid placing sensitive personal information in item names, notes, or photos.
